Grinding Home Connected Passers
Win against perfect defense
Waking the engine…
The theory
Even a winning position demands technique, and connected passers on the sixth and fifth can still take many accurate moves to promote.
Advance together. Keep the pawns connected so neither can be captured without freeing the other.
Shelter the king. Anticipate the defender's endless checks by walking your king toward a hiding square behind the pawns.
In this drill you must convert a long win against perfect defense, staying patient until the pawns cost the enemy the rook.
