Terms of Sale

Last updated: July 14, 2026

These Terms of Sale (conditions générales de vente) govern every purchase of ChessEndings Pro. They complement the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. By buying Pro you accept them.

2. Products and prices

Pro is a digital service unlocking the full endgame curriculum and the advanced features described on the pricing page. It is sold in a single form: a lifetime licence, a one-time payment with no billing cycle and no renewal (see section 6).

Current prices are displayed on the pricing page and at checkout, in the checkout currency, taxes included where applicable; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Promotional or launch pricing (such as a founder offer) may apply for a limited time or a limited number of seats; a purchase made at a promotional price is never affected by later price changes.

3. Ordering and payment

3.1 On the website

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. ChessEndings never sees or stores your card details. Your order is confirmed once Stripe authorises the payment, and Stripe emails you a receipt.

3.2 In the mobile apps

Purchases made in our iOS or Android apps are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) as in-app purchases, under their own terms. Billing and refunds for those purchases are managed through your Apple or Google account.

3.3 Failed payments

If a payment is declined, the order is not completed and Pro access is not unlocked. No amount is retained. You can simply try again.

4. Delivery

Pro is a digital service delivered immediately: access is unlocked on your account as soon as payment is confirmed. There is nothing to ship.

5. Withdrawal and refunds

5.1 Our refund policy

Any purchase made on the website can be refunded within fourteen (14) days of the transaction, no questions asked, including after you have started using Pro. Reply to your Stripe receipt or email support@chessendings.com. We refund to your original payment method; refunded purchases revoke Pro access.

5.2 Statutory right of withdrawal

As an EU consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within fourteen (14) days without giving a reason (Articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). Because Pro is delivered immediately, you expressly request immediate performance at checkout; our refund policy above is at least as protective as the statutory right, so in practice you simply email us within 14 days. A clear statement (for example: "I withdraw from my ChessEndingsPro purchase of [date], [account email]") sent to support@chessendings.com is sufficient. We reimburse within fourteen (14) days of your request, using the same means of payment.

5.3 App store purchases

Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play must be requested from Apple or Google, under their refund policies. If they decline and you are within 14 days of purchase, contact us at support@chessendings.com and we will help.

6. Lifetime licence

The lifetime licence is a personal, non-transferable licence to use Pro for as long as the Service is operated. It has no billing cycle and never renews. It is tied to your account and does not guarantee that the Service will be available forever; if we permanently discontinue the Service, we will give reasonable advance notice.

7. Legal guarantee of conformity

As a consumer you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Directive (EU) 2019/770; Articles L.224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). If Pro does not conform to what was promised, you may ask us to bring it into conformity and, failing that, obtain a price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

8. Support and complaints

For any question about an order, or any complaint, contact support@chessendings.com or use the contact page. We aim to respond within a few business days. We provide the Service with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation; liability is limited as described in the Terms of Service.

9. Mediation and disputes

If a complaint cannot be resolved directly with us, consumers in France may use free consumer mediation (Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code); we will provide the details of the applicable consumer mediator on request at support@chessendings.com. Any dispute is subject to the consumer-protection law of your place of residence where those rules are mandatory.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms of Sale; the version applicable to your purchase is the one published here on the date of that purchase. These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
