Knight Wins the Race in the Corner
Win against perfect defense
Waking the engine…
The theory
When the defending king is shoved into the corner, its scope collapses and it can no longer shepherd its own pawns. That is the moment an attacker with a knight should press.
The knight's range. A knight is slow across an open board but devastating in a small area. With the enemy king stuck, you can walk the knight from square to square, each move blocking a pawn or guarding a promotion path.
Coordinate, then collect. Keep your own king active and the defending king confined. Once the pawns can no longer advance, capture them one at a time and the material edge decides.
In this drill the defender plays perfect resistance and tries to push a pawn through the instant you drift. Keep the corner locked and the knight busy, and the win is short and certain.
