The theory
When your pawn is blocked by an enemy pawn, the knight becomes the key to progress. The win lies in removing or bypassing the blockade.
Attack the anchor. Target the enemy pawn with knight and king. Once it falls or must move, your own pawn gains a clear path.
Guard while you maneuver. The knight keeps your pawn defended so you never lose it while improving your pieces.
In this drill the defender leans on the blocking pawn. Pile up on it, break the lock, and escort your pawn home.
